Route & General Observations

Left Mine parking lot and skin direct route to Gold Cord Lake following existing skin Tracks. Once at lake skinned across to North side of lake to sample area.

No signs of instabilly. Wind effected snow bellow bluff to lake but decent powder on lake.

Snow showed a slight sign of wind transport

Snowpack

Snowpack seems to be transitioning to entirely faceted snow. Dug two Pits at 2:30 and 3:10pm. Pit #1, 4000ft, 156* aspect, 40* slope... 125cm snow, Shovle shear at 80cm, CT19 at 80cm, old MF Crust at 70cm and 40cm, ECTP 29 at basel fasets.Pit #1 was fist dense snow with a small pocket of four finger snow between 40 and 60cm.
Pit #2, 4050ft, 176* aspect, 30* slope, 125cm snow, Shovel shear at 80cm, No CT done, old MF Crust at 70 and 40cm, ECTP 29 varied from 40 up to 70 (see picture). Pit #2 entirely made up of fist dense snow with deteriorating MF Crust.
