Toured from the Independence mine parking lot with a Level 1 class, up to the Gold cord Mine area.

Moderate temps, no new snow, light winds.

Snow surface

smooth snow surface, settled powder.

Snowpack

Dug in at 3700' on a ESE aspect; HS 70cm; Failure down 70 cm on basal facets and melt freeze forms, ECTP27. Snowpack generally stable, generally good structure but with some propagation potential. Shallow areas susceptible to triggering but still very stubborn. Found good ski quality on all aspects
