We toured up the North side (skiers left) of the gully that leads to Hunters Pass. The tree in the top right of the photo is about 100 feet from the pass. We descended the same way And crossed into the gully much lower. Area was wind scoured with tundra showing two pockets of wind slab. Much lower through trees and alders was fairly consistent snow.

The avalanche was observed on this site last Thursday as being a natural avalanche . Size was difficult to estimate but probably a couple hundred feet across.
