1-3 inches of surface hoar just about everywhere and at all elevations. We ended up climbing almost to
the top of one of the prominent peaks in the area and skiing a 1000ft or so couloir with pitches ranging
from 35 – 45 degrees. Wind and possibly a previous rain event made for a quite firm surface as well as a
no-fall, slide-for-life situation over its entire length.
