standard route, sunny ,calm, supportable btm to top, SH to ridge crest, new snow (~20cm). glides, some small loose snow slides, isolated new snow SS avalanches (SW, W, N). crust w/ facets (2mm) underneath moist approx. 40-50% depth of snowpack

observe recent soft slab avalanche approx. 100-125" below ridge in Todd's from up route. appeared to be natural, new snow somewhat difficult to estimate depth (20-30cm?). Ran ~800' and did not step down
Recent Avalanches? | Yes |
Collapsing (Whumphing)? | No |
Cracking (Shooting cracks)? | No |
a few signs of instability; small loose new snow on steep slopes generally below rocks, including one which triggered a soft slab on a steep SSW aspect just W of Tincan Proper. However, multiple slope tests and hand shears showed good bonding of all layers including the crust/facet layer at 45cm in a HS of 115cm on NW thru W aspects
Beauty
new snow, quite calm, mid 20*F
pow, sun crust SE -WSW
informal slope test and hand & shovel shears
2mm facets below crust in mid-pack seem to be healing up, SH to ridge crest for future reference
