Route & General Observations

Followed the ridgeline up from Hunter Pass saddle to the east. The top of the ridgeline was exposed due to wind with pockets of powder from wind drifting and lots of exposed rock. Dug a small pit at marker, attached picture of basal faceted snow under a 16-18 inch slab. Slab propagated at 14 taps right at the faceted layer (ECTP 14).

Very variable conditions in all of Hiland however, not sure that this area is representative of even the whole slope as I didn’t trigger anything or have anything fracture, but a concerning enough base facet to send in some info.
