Observation: Hatcher Pass
Location: Hatcher Pass Road Run
Seward Day storm ski up the Hatcher Pass road run.
Started at mile 12 parking lot at 9:00. 29°, 3-4” of powder nuking down. At 2000’ elevation, started noticing shooting cracks at all inclines, whumpfing at 35° incline. Powder started to turn to sugar and then to ice.
Reached the mile 16 parking lot at10:40. We were considering skinning up to Mt 4068 but played it safe and just skiied back down the road run. Lots of fun!
