Route & General Observations

We toured from the closed gate up to Hatcher Pass proper near Summit lake. Started moving off the road SW and up the spur in the direction of Hatch Peak. About 100 feet up from the road moving in the direction of a wind loaded slope I triggered an Avalanche in a drainage that ran out to the road below.
