Independence Mine Bowl, Pinnacle basin, Upper Willow Creek.

Observer Comments

No collapsing, only minor localized cracking in wind board under skis, and no new avalanches observed.
A lot of snow machine activity on the Willow side, with no observed avalanche activity.

Snow surface

Rain crust to 4000'
Widespread wind board, mostly supportable, above 4000'
Winds from this last weekend and early this week have scoured and effected most areas. Protected powder is scarce to non-existent.

Snowpack

A mostly right side up, cohesive snowpack with no significant propagation observed.
Recent wind slab instabilities from earlier in the week appear to have healed quickly.
