Route & General Observations

Skinned up the central ramp route to Hatch mid afternoon. Skier that set the skin track reported whomping at low elevations. One natural slab failure of new snow observed in April Bowl just below where the skintrack sidehilled to the ridge. Visibility fine but not good light for seeing much detail. From Hatch common a few skiers centerpunched the north bowl, others went more or less back down the skin track ramp. Wind affected slow pow, pleasant skiing. People told me this particular part of the slope was mostly wind-stripped before the new snow.
