Route & General Observations

Traveled to Hatch Peak. Skied a NW & North facing aspect. Snow was very hard to ski. Heavy snow with a breakable crust in most areas. Gave way to “nicer” non-crusty very heavy snow near top of Hatch Peak.

Observer Comments

Large avalanches all around. Lots of recent slides on most aspects, per the recent >30cm heavy wet snow. Wet loose avalanches, as well as slabs. One party member experienced a distinct whoompf when stopping on top of a rollover @ bottom of $1000 run.
