Route & General Observations

skinned up road and up ridge to top of 1000$ run. new wind slab formation up to 1 foot in depth, new cornice formation. lots of evidence of newly transported snow. shooting cracks in isolated wind loaded areas. windy with poor visibility. N to NW wind loaded.

1-2 in new snow. wind SE 10-30mph, temps around 20 F--a warm up from prior days

wind slab, wind scour. looks like the surface hoar is knocked down in unprotected areas

hand shears and mini ski cuts failing on wind slab/old crust interface up to a foot+ deep
