This avalanche was triggered by a dog after two skiers had
intentionally avoided a recent wind loaded pocket. The dog
following far behind (both skiers were off the slope) ran into a
wind loaded area and triggered the slide 100′ above her, catching
and carrying her. While swimming to the side another section
propagated out and hit her again. Good to hear the dog was able to
swim out of the debris and sounds like she is ok.
