Route & General Observations

Whoomph and multiple cracks shooting 30+ feet on a rumply, alder-patched slope averaging high 20’s. 5 Feb brief morning drizzle crust on settled powder. No formal tests, felt like a rotten bottom snowpack with discontinuous old wind slabs in the middle. Got the collapse and cracks in a zone without much of the interior hard surface.
Clear sky, no wind, high teens, warming, 2.5 days since big dump.
