Observation: Turnagain

These are images of the cornice break on Goldpan. The first photo was shot from
the top of Cornbiscuit at 1:21 pm. Note the rocks on (climbers) left and the
ski tracks for reference. The second shot was taken at 3:11pm minutes after the
cornice failure. Note that the huge cornice is now gone (tracks and rocks can
be used for reference). The last two photos are of the debris pile. We spoke
with the people who triggered the slide and they said the cornice ripped out
pieces of rock when it broke.
