We observed a large cornice break in the Gold Pan bowl. Not sure if it was human triggered, as there was someone on the ridge, but out of view from Wolf Run, that we saw emerge later on the top of the ridge. The cornice break entrained a lot of loose surface snow but didn’t propagate a slab. It did take numerous rocks with it. Also noticed that back in the Gold Pan/Wolf Run area slopes with longer exposure to the sun were definitely heating up, turning the powder into nice snow ball snow, although it wasn’t sticky enough to really feel it while skiing.
