From Glen Alps PL skied SE along the base of the NE aspect of Blueberry Knoll for 1mi then skied around to the NW aspect of Blueberry and onto the ridge top.
A mostly cloudy very windy day with SE winds@15-20mph at lower elevations with gusts to 25mph on the top of Blueberry Knoll. Snow flurries started at 1530. At 1330 temp = 29F
At lower elevations on flats found 7cm mixture of new and wind transported snow over firm 73cm base. At elevations above 2400ft mostly rock-hard wind crust and wind slab with some rare loose snow in hollows (pic)
Did pit at 2409ft in lee of hemlocks on NE aspect of Blueberry Knoll where snow was diggable (profile attached). HS = 100cm. Got CT21@65cm from bottom Q3 and CT28@30cm from bottom Q3. ECTX. Did ski cut tests at 2600ft on short runout slopes of drifted snow on NW aspect of Blueberry with no reaction (pic). Ridgetops blown clear down to scree in some spots mixed with wind crust. I was driven off the mountain with E winds gusting to 25mph.
