Toured from Glen Alps PL for one mile along NE aspect of Blueberry Knob.

Weather

Bluebird day. Winds calm with sunny skies. At 1430 was 10F.

Snow surface

10cm new light loose snow over windslab. No indications of wind transport. Small surface hoar crystals growing on stellars.

Snowpack

Surface snow: stellars with small surface hoar overgrowths. Ski penetration = 10cm.
Did pit on NE aspect of Blueberry Hill at 2454ft. Total snowpack = 88cm, SA = 22deg, Aspect = 060NE
Top down: 88-79 F stellar/SH; 79-73 4F rounds; 73-64 P rounding facets; 64-58 4F rounding facets; 58-45 4F rounding facets; 45-40, P clustered rounds; 40-32, 4F clustered rounds with rounding facets; 32-27, P melt/freeze crust with rounding facets; 27-10 4F rounding facets; 10-0 P melt/freeze rounding facets.

Ski cut tests on cornices produced 10-20cm thick sloughs sliding off of windslab.
