Left Glen Alps PL at approx 1300 and skied up around the NW end of Blueberry Knoll. Noted recent point release and shallow wet snow avalanches in the steep-walled bowl to the W of False Pk. After doing pit on the SW aspect of Blueberry skied up over the ridgetop and down onto the N aspect of same adjacent to the Wind Tunnel gully. Skied along the break in slope under the NE aspect of Flattop, then a nice ski run down to the powerline then back to GA PL. by 1700.

Avalanche Details

Point release wet snow avalanches in bowl just W of False Pk (pic attached). These slides occurred after new snow fell during the evening of 4/22 and before midday on 4/24. Probably due to solar heating of the slope. This is the same bowl where riders kicked off an avalanche on 4/12. See CNFAIC False Pk avy report for that date.

Please provide details to help us determine the weather and snowpack during the time this observation took place.
Weather

Partly cloudy with some Ci/Cs clouds . At 1545 was 45deg with NE winds@9G12 at the Glen Alps weather station. .

Snow surface

Near GA PL found 3cm fresh snow on top of variably supportable M/F crust. On SW aspects found a punchy wet snow surface. N aspects mostly supportable with new dry snow on MF crust.

Snowpack

Did pit at 2595ft on SW aspect of Blueberry Knoll (profile attached) HS = 100 cm. Snowpack going isothermal. Got CTN and ECTN. The Wind Tunnel snow pillow is very fat right now but to my knowledge has not avalanched this season (pic).
