This report is a follow-up to the avalanche observation submitted by another party on 10/07/21. Collected detailed information at the site of the avalanche. Avalanche site: 61.09996, 149.68134. Located on the NW aspect of Blueberry Knoll, 0.3 miles from the Glen Alps PL.
Interviewed one of the Glen Alps caretakers who indicated that they heard the avalanche run at 10:47 am on 10/07/21. Were not aware that anyone was of the Blueberry Knoll trail at the time. The glide path and associated large debris blocks covered the hiking trail along the base of Blueberry Knoll. Sliding surface consisted of slick tundra. Snowpack consisted of wet snow on top of rounds. No snowpack stability tests were done.
Looking at the weather history of the previous few days, would appear the gusty winds on 10/5/21 created a thick wind slab on the NW aspect of Blueberry Knoll. This event followed by rain, probably added weight to the slab, causing it to fail.
Avalanche classification = WS-U-R3-D2-G
