Toured from Glen Alps Parking lot to the sheltered northern slopes of flattop. Snow conditions varied from windblown hardback to soft powder. Observations by A Holman and S Hughes.

Weather

Skies were overcast with light winds in sheltered areas. Occasional light snow. Air temps were just below freezing.

Snow surface

Approximately 10cm of soft new snow in sheltered area over additional recent snow from earlier in the weekend.

Snowpack

Top ~30cm of snow is not well bonded to the old snow. While touring we found the new snow stuffing on steeper slope angles.
