A slab avalanche occurred on the southern face of Max’s Mountain today, April
1st. It looks to be a natural as no tracks could be seen entering, however the
exit and debris was out of view. Likely a wind slab formed on Friday 3/29 as the
depth looks to be consistent with Friday’s foot of new snow. SSW facing ~2500′.
The last picture is of a slab on the SW face of Magnum that is a few days old.
Also looks to be a wind slab from Friday’s snow that was triggered by a piece of
cornice falling.
