Weather

Overcast, occasional light snow, light north wind, temps in the 20's

Snow surface

Surface hoar up to 2cm that diminished in size toward the top of our tour at 2,800 feet. Shallow facet skiing below treeline. Great skiing on near surface facets in sheltered areas near treeline. Variable wind scour, wind slab, and facets over wind slab above treeline.

We dug one set of pits at 2800 feet on a SW aspect in 100cm snow height and found CT27 RP down 30 cm on the December surface hoar. No propagation on this surface hoar layer or in the basal crust/facet sandwich.
