Route & General Observations

Started from the Manitoba parking lot at 12:30pm. 35°, blue sky, sunny, slight cool breeze, felt downright tropical. Followed the skinner up to the ridge and then skiied down the northeast face. Just a little bit of glopping. No shooting cracks or whumphing noted. Ski penetration less than 1 inch. Snowpack was dense sun crust with consolidation on southerly aspects, still some powder in the shaded trees, and wind effect on the ridge line. Ridge line not sun affected even by 2:00pm. It’s not quite corn season yet. Back at the highway at 2:30pm.
