Route & General Observations

Skied north and south facing chutes in Falls Creek. Variety of snow surfaces from light pow to windboard. One D2 avalanche on a SW aspect of Sheep Thrills ridge had run mid-storm and crossed the creek. The large west-facing slide path/chute off of Falls Peak that often covers the creek has not yet slid. No other significant recent naturals observed, but that was of course limited by the flat light. Pockets of wind slab from the last couple days seemed stubborn and non-reactive.

Pit on north aspect, 2700 ft, 37 degree slope, HS: 110 cm, ECTX.
ECTN outside of test parameters on interface under storm snow, and again under melt-freeze crust.
Storm snow right side-up in pit, melt freeze crust ~ 4 inches thick. Rounds under melt-freeze crust to ground.
