Route & General Observations

Standard Skyscrapper uptrack , found an interesting crust layer near the ground but wasn’t present everywhere. While there is pow to be had, the sharks still linger.

Observer Comments

One skier in our party felt a small collapse on an isolated windslab while skiing down and entering a north east facing line with no results. No whumpfs or shooting cracks were experienced.

Weather

Blue bird and cold!
Car said 8 in the mine parking lot. Felt much colder in the bottom of the bowl and parking lot compared to the ridge.

Snow surface

Settled protected powder in the bowl, excellent ski quality.
Wind affect on the ridges and more exposed slopes including some small soft wind slabs on the upper portion of the uptrack.

Snowpack

Quick pit at the bottom of the bowl, north east aspect .
HS 69cm
ECTP 16 on the crust layer just above the ground.
Multiple hand pits and ski probing showed This crust layer wasn’t everywhere. I also had not found this layer on the lower shoulder of microdot yesterday.
