Suspected rotten snow on lower elevation SSE aspect, a red flag that we should’ve heeded. Rerouted to NNE skin track. Skied ideal cornditions on N skyscraper, only to be too late in the day for E faces at the lower elevation. Point release, skier not carried, stepped down to ground, with sidewalls having 18”-30”.
