Avalanche Details

Our party of three was bootpacking up the center of NW headwall, having left the west ridge when we found fresh wind effected snow and too much exposure. As we reached the convexity at the top of the slope we triggered a 4" soft slab of last night's snow. The avalanche propogated north about 75', and ran about 100'. The crown was 6" at most.
