Route & General Observations

We left cars at 10:00AM and got back around 4:30PM. We took the standard approach towards Eddies above treeline. 3″-5″ of light new precipitation on top of MF crust that became non-existent around 2500′.

Weather

The weather was clear, calm with a valley fog (~1200' to 1500'). No wind. No precip.

Snow surface

3"-5" of light new precipitation on top of MF crust that became non-existent around 2500'. 1mm surface hoar at pit location. Ski/boot pen: 5/25cm at pit location.

Snowpack

Elevation: 2600'
Aspect: W
Incline: 24 degrees
No wind loading observed at the pit location.
The primary layer of concern was the basal facets.
