We Investigated the upper flank of this avalanche and suspected it was naturally triggered during the storm cycle 2/19 or 2/20. It was in a wind loaded area with 6-8" of snow drifted onto the bed surface and surrounding terrain.

The weak layer and bed surface was Fist hardness 1-2mm facets from the January cold spell. The interface hardness above the weak layer was P.
