Standard up to the base of the headwall. Rain crust until 1200ft

Weather

28 at the parking lot, low clouds and light flurries mid mountain. very light breeze on the ridge before the base of headwall

Snow surface

Burly breakable crust from the meadows until out of the first set of trees. Crust becomes "thinner" out of the trees and turns to heavy new powder at 1200ft. Ridge was a bit wind affected and stiffer. We did not see any recent avalanches, just old drebri that has been covered in new snow.

Snowpack

Dug a quick pit at the base of the headwall on the standard uptrack south south west aspect
ECT 12 about 50ish cm down on new old snow interface
ECT 26 about 70ish cm down
