Route & General Observations

We watched an avalanche occur across the valley on the sunny side today at 1. I assume it was snowmachine triggered. Right cross valley from Eddie’s. Hope all are ok.

Where my mark is on Eddie’s, there is mid-storm debris from earlier this week that released on the upper buried surface hoar layer and left the lower (Halloween) layer in tact with the Veteran’s day snow still on it. I thought it noteworthy for two reasons:
It didn’t step down to the Halloween crust.
The surface hoar on the Halloween crust felt super sketchy (airy) and seems primed to reload and release again in the same path.
