Location: Crescent Creek Trail - Kenai Mtns south of Cooper Landing
I’m writing to report an avalanche on the Crescent Creek Trail near Cooper Landing. I was hiking with three friends to Crescent Lake Cabin when our path was blocked by snow from an avalanche about 3-4 miles from the trail head. This was at about 1:40pm today, December 7th. It appeared the avalanche happened recently, but all the snow was still when we came upon it. The GPS coordinates are approximately
