Route & General Observations

Toured up the NW shoulder of Cornbiscuit, then hit Magnum for a lap in the sun. CB: well traveled skin track and no cracking or evidence of any on that slope; dug a quick pit at approx 2400′ on NNW facing slope of 35deg: HS265 ECTP19 down 30cm with fairly easy shear Q1 on BSH. Turned back at that point and headed up SW Magnum, another quick pit at approx 3000′ SW facing 30deg slope: HS255 ECTN23 down 30cm on the same layer as before. Hand shear tests with similar results – despite the (very cold) sun exposure – up to high point of 3500′. Excellent ski quality!
