Really great tour on Cornbiscuit.
No Red Flags seen. No wind effect in the surface snow all the way up to 3,600ft. The newest snow (2-6″) was not bonded very well to the snow from the last week, but we couldn’t find anything in the top few feet with cohesion for a slab in many hand pits on the way up.
Slopes over 40deg sluffed 2-5″ deep and ran very fast and full path.
Trail breaking was over boot deep.
Evidence of the newest snow running loose/dry during the storm was everywhere, but no crowns.
The glide cracks on Seattle Ridge were all covered in new snow, but there are two glide cracks in lower Magnum (PMS Bowl?) that are open, making me think that they moved since the snow on Monday and Tuesday.
