Weather & Snow Characteristics
Please provide details to help us determine the weather and snowpack during the time this observation took place.
Weather

Ultra flat gray bird, steady snow, 10-15 wind. High 20’s, 32F at the parking lot.

Snow surface

Heavy and wet to the tree line. Much drier above the alders. ~4” of fresh. Probably will be closer to 6” by tonight. Might be a good time for that warm snow wax!

Snowpack

No formal stability tests. Pretty constant freeze-thaw crust below fresh snow.
