Location: Colorado Creek
Explored the mining trail up Colorado creek. Most of the day spent in the forest and stuck in alder patches.

Was looking for but did not find surface hoar in open areas.
Snowpack
In openings between alder patches, snowpack was approx. 100cm, and was more supportable than I expected to find. About 30cm of newer, softer snow over an interface with a more consolidated layer.
