Route & General Observations

Started from the highway at 1:15pm. Bluebird skies, 27° f, ski penetration 4-6 inches of soft loose snow, stiff breeze from the north (a little more turbulent as we got up past the power lines). Followed a winding skinner up. Started noting some wind effect in the form of soft punchiness in the snowpack around 2100 ft elevation. No whumpfing or shooting cracks noted. Probed 145 cm deep at 2400 ft elevation. Noted some significant wind effect higher up and on Summit Mountain (directly to south). Noted avalanche on northwest face of Butch (directly across the highway to west). Skiing was phenomenal!
