Started from the Manitoba parking lot at 12:45 (Colorado lot not yet plowed out). Skinned over to Colorado and then followed the established skin track up. 19°, calm, high clouds, sunny. Settled powder, 4-6” of ski penetration, surface hoar down low. Lots of animal tracks! Above 2500ft elevation, ski penetration 8-12”. Some loose chunks coming off the skin track, but not true pinwheels. No shooting cracks or whumphing. Could see some wind scouring on nearby ribs. At 2800ft elevation, probed 110cm deep with noticeable crust 40cm down. Skied down the gully. Back at the parking lot at 3:30.
