Route & General Observations

Started at the parking lot at 2:30. Single digit temps, light wind from the East, 2 inches fluffy powder and it kept coming down all afternoon (some breaks in the clouds for sunshine and blue sky), generally low visibility and flat light.

Snowpack was very variable: some knee-deep powder, some stiff ice/ rain crust over hollow-sounding snow pack, some thin wind crusts, faceting on some of the crusts. Some cracks noted at one point (not shooting), no whumpfing, did not see evidence of any recent avalanches.

Turned around at 2,600’. Parts above looked to be pretty wind scoured. Excellent ski down, back in the parking lot by 5:30.
