Route & General Observations

Started at the parking lot at 1:15, -2°, clear and sunny without any wind. Snowpack was about 12 inches of dense powder, a punchy layer, and then another 6 inches of powder. Still plenty of alder schwacking off skin-track and almost too deep for the dogs.

A breeze picked up at the powerline, a wind crust often present but not always.

Turned around at 2,300 ft. No whumpfing, some cracking. Snowpack was was about 12 inches of dense powder, a stiff layer, and then another 12 inches of powder.

Back in the parking lot by 4:45, -11° and dropping.
