Observation: Turnagain

Route & General Observations

Skied 2.5 miles from Non-motorized PL along standard route up Center Ridge to elevation 2122ft. Observed considerable avalanche debris in gullies on both SW aspect of Tincan Ridge and NE aspect of Sunburst. Did not see any avalanches occur.

No signs of instability along our route. However observed debris from numerous avalanches that have run on SW aspect of Tincan Ridge and NE aspect of Sunburst. See attached pics.

Weather

Blue bird day with light winds. Temp at Center Ridge Snotel site at 1500 was 52deg.

Snow surface

Left PL at 12:00 on softening crust. Supportable snow surface on ridgetop. Found south facing slopes starting to get mushy by the time we started our descent at 15:00. However still crusty in some shaded areas.
