Toured up center ridge.

Obvious signs of instability

Recent Avalanches?	No
Collapsing (Whumphing)?	Yes
Cracking (Shooting cracks)?	Yes

Observer Comments

Whumphing and shooting cracks on flatter areas on top of ridge, and on one shorter, steep slope (wind loaded). Quick hand pit just 'mushed' no obvious sliding surface or cohesion in snow.

Partly cloudy, temperatures ~15-25F. Calm.

Surface hoar starting to form on new snow.

12-20 inches of new snow on hard surface.
