Carter-Crescent trail, in the search for wind sheltered snow!

Recent Avalanches?	Yes

Observer Comments

Wind effect above tree line. Saw one small snow machine triggered slide, likely on wind slab. Hand pit on adjacent slope showed 2-3 inch wind crust.

Weather

Blue bird, 10F at parking lot. Mid teens to low 20s around the lake. Calm winds.

Snow surface

Mixed bag. Some anti-tracked wind board, some blown in pow stashes. Tried to avoid the obvious wind loaded areas.

Small snow machine triggered wind slab (Note: Ravine to the right slid back in mid-Dec. It is now filled in really nice, easy access

Crescent Lake is frozen up pretty well, some snow drifts across the surface.
