Observation: Girdwood
Location: California and Upper Bird Creek
Several D3 avalanches on north aspects that looked to be about a week old. Widespread, small, non reactive wind pockets from the last week’s winds that acted well bonded. Soft, settled pow with no signs of current instability on north aspects. Great coverage up high, bear footprints and belly slides everywhere!
