Route & General Observations

We saw an impressive avalanche in the Byron cirque. I’ll let the photo do the talking but we figured the cornice fell and triggered this in the last couple days. We estimated the crown at its thickest to be 15-20 ft. We also saw 2 wide propagating avalanches on the north face with crown depths of 1 foot and several hundred feet wide. We encountered a rime crust to about 4000 ft.
