Avalanche Details

Natural Slab avalanche from newly deposited snow on Butch Peak above Lower Summit Lake. Approximately 300'wide and ran approximately 30% of the path. It appeared to be relatively shallow 1 to 2' deep. Soft slab.

4" of new snow at Fresno at the north side of the pass. 1-2" total at the southern side of the pass. Ridges were wind scoured with newly formed wind slabs forming on the lee side of the ridges (South and West Aspects Loaded at mid and upper elevations)
