Observation: Chugach State Park

We had a great day skiing all the new powder in gullies in the McHugh area. As expected, the new snow bonded very very poorly. However, also as expected, it was light enough and cold enough to not be very close to a cohesive slab. The answer was great skiing! I would expect very dangerous conditions in expected areas of wind loading and if the storm snow settles or warms.
