Nice thick rain crust all around
6-8 inches this grain type at the base of the snowpack
Observation: Hatcher Pass
Location: Bench between microdot and Rae Wallace
Parked at independence mine, surprised to find a nice rain crust after getting out of the car. We decided to dig a pit.
The snowpack in this location was about 180cm deep. ECTP24, 60cm. The pit was on a 35 degree slope, N/ slightly NW aspect.
We toured to the first knoll on microdot. The rain crust was widespread.
