Route & General Observations

From Arctic Valley PL skied up valley bottom and up Tequila Bowl to summit of Mt. Gordon Lyon. Skied back down Tequila Bowl and around ridge to saddle overlooking S. fork Eagle River. Did pit just below this saddle on SW. side.

Weather

Winds calm. Sky 6/8 covered. At 1300 temp 26F

Snow surface

In valley bottom a thin surface hoar layer overlain 15cm loose snow over a firm wind compacted layer. Boot pen = 15cm.

Snowpack

See attached pit profile. Got STV@57cm. CTVQ2@57cm.ECTP15@57cm. Was surprised to get the STV at pit. This layer did not fail when being skied over on steeper slope angles and higher elevations.
